Early Life and Background Pastor Original Ebenezer was born in Asante Mampong Ninting. But he grew up mainly in Asante Mampong Daaho, where his mother Yaa Nyarko, a trader, lived. Samuel Agyemang Duah, his father, was employed by the government at PWC. He joined his mother in fellowship at the Church of Pentecost despite his father's Catholic beliefs. Even as a young child, his devotion for God and the ministry was obvious. For his elementary schooling, he went to St. Andrew in Asante Mampong.
Call to Ministry In 2002, Pastor Ebenezer moved to Kumasi to join his sister, who was part of a fledgling fellowship led by evangelist Akwasi Awuah and his wife, initially comprising only eight members. Introduced to the fellowship by a neighbor shortly after its inception, his commitment deepened after his mother's passing, when he was entrusted to the care of Evangelist Akwasi Awuah, who adopted him as his son.
Previously employed as a lathe turner, Pastor Ebenezer found his calling in ministry during his involvement in outreach projects with Evangelist Akwasi Awuah, leading him to abandon his former occupation. Over time, the fellowship expanded into the church known today as Mountain Zion. Pastor Ebenezer diversified his skills through tank welding training and computer courses before embracing full-time ministry.
Under his leadership as the youth president, the church, renamed Pillar of Zion Church International, initiated impactful programs like "lust," liberating many from its grip. Together with Evangelist Akwasi Awuah, he conducted nationwide crusades and hosts the popular "Breakthrough Hour" on Sika FM 89.5 MHz. Presently, Pastor Ebenezer serves as the District Pastor for the Atonsu District, overseeing fifteen church branches, including the Atonsu branch, where he continues to inspire many, particularly the youth, through his deep connection with the Holy Spirit. After years of waiting for God's timing, he found love with Mrs. Anastasia Frimpong, with whom he shares a child and a blessed marriage.
